German government considers introducing mosque taxes, like church taxes

On Wednesday, lawmakers of German ruling coalition parties CDU, SPD, and CSU announced they were considering imposing new mandatory taxation Muslims would have to pay, which the government would distribute as funding to mosques, as a possible solution to stop funding and finance of the mosques in Germany from foreign countries and institutes.

An apartment building collapsed on Monday in Magnitogorsk, a city in the Ural region of Russia. A suspected gas leak led to an explosion, followed by the ten-storey building coming down.

Bre Payton, a 26 year old U.S. writer for the conservative online magazine The Federalist, and recurring pundit on the Fox News, Fox Business and One America News networks, died suddenly on Friday in San Diego, California, after contracting H1N1 flu and encephalitis.

A minibus overturned on the A6089 road between Gordon and Carfraemill in the Scottish Borders on Saturday night. The rural accident killed one man and injured 23 more.

Police warn new drone owners to obey law after disruption at UK’s Gatwick Airport

Police on Tuesday warned new owners of drones to obey the law after Gatwick Airport, the second-largest airport in Britain, faced days of closure on account of drone sightings. About 150,000 travelers have had their plans affected.
